The Kite Runner

I was reading “the Kite Runner” a very good book about an Afghan refugee from the Soviet Occupation, who grows up in America. The book seems very interesting and the storytelling seemed in line with reality. Especially the relationships he has described between himself and his father who refuses to see a doctor despite having cancer. Of special interest is the developing of a relationship between the lead character and a young woman also from Afghanistan. Tribal customs, the traditional societal values etc are portrayed very realistically in this book. I would highly recommend it.
